In the last five La Liga rounds, Valencia have suffered only one defeat, a 1-2 loss away to powerhouse Atletico Madrid in the most recent match. Currently, Valencia sit 17th in the La Liga standings, only above relegation-zone leaders Girona on goal difference. Therefore, Valencia must seize the opportunity to play at Mestalla and defeat Mallorca at all costs. At present, the island club sit just two points above Valencia and three places higher in the standings.
