Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring for PSG in the 20th minute with a trademark skill and finish. Aston Villa responded with grit, as 17-year-old prodigy Brian Madjo equalized right before halftime (45') after connecting with a fine cross from John McGinn. However, Desire Doue restored PSG's lead in the 61st minute following a tight VAR review. Despite late pressure from Unai Emery's squad, PSG held firm to lift the trophy.
